Can card counters still beat the card shuffling machines in blackjack?

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009
BlackJack asked:

My casino uses 8 decks and now has a fancy card shuffling machine.

After 20 cards have been dealt out 416 cards total they put the cards back in the machine to reshuffle them.

Why on earth should anyone play at a live casino? just play bj online… its just as rigged…

Have any of you played blackjack where the dealer reveals both cards?

My online casino has it and I won all my five hands. I stopped cause I didn’t want to push my luck.

But is this a trap game or can I genuinely win over the long run?

Btw, rules are that dealer wins ties.

Best online casino for United States

I am looking to play some roulette and blackjack online for real money. There are several problems that keep coming up. If I find a good one, it usually doesnt accept American citizens. Or they offer these huge bonuses of up to $1000 for depositing money except the bonuses cannot be cashed out (only the winnings you make from a bonus) and in order to cash out you need wager a certain amount (with a $50 deposit most say you need to wager at least $2000 to cash out! Also, they will say that you can only wager on certain games and every site I have looked at gives a long list of games you cannot play (including blackjack and roulette). So basically you can only play their rigged slots to cash out (im guessing mostly everyone loses their money). I know this is a long shot but does anyone know of any sites that allow you to play blackjack or roulette and allow you to cash out after a certain point while wagering in these games? I live in NJ if that matters
Yeah but isnt there a danger with this? If i am using real money wont they see that my credit card is registered in NJ? When I cash out they would mail my check to canada…
What about bodog.com? I just looked into that and I have seen their commercials during the WSOP. I read through their terms and it all looks pretty legit. They dont take any fees and allow you to play any games you want. Does anyone else use bodog?
dover…thanks for the website of blacklisted sites…bodog was not on it. And the other site you give me is just your site selling stuff…i dont really need that. There is no way to gain an edge over the house without counting. only scammers claim they can.

How big a bank roll do I need to play blackjack, and what is the probability of losing it?

jrshannie asked:

I want to play blackjack online. How big of a bankroll do i need compared to the bets Im making? I have an overdraft of £1000 how large are the bets I can make? And what is the chance of losing all this £1000? I don’t want to lose it all so should me bankroll be money that I don’t mind losing?

Thanks
The reason I want to know this is to get the casino bonuses online that are offered. If I deposit 100£ and the bonus is 100 and with 0.04% house edge after playing £4000, my expectiation is to lose £16. But if this gets me the bonus then I will be up £84.
Id like to know the chance of losing £100 for different sized bets instad of £16 as this would mean I am no longer in profit after getting the bonus. This is so I could know what my chances are of breaking even if betting say £5 rather than £1, and thus I could decide how much to bet
Thanks

Online casinos normally start the game of blackjack with the players placing their initial bets. Once all wagers are placed, the virtual dealer proceeds to dealing the cards. Each player is dealt two cards, including the dealer. A “blackjack” is when a player is dealt an initial 2-card hand that produces a 21 as a result of a ten-value card (i.e. a 10, king, queen or jack) combined with an Ace. If a player manages to land such a hand, he wins immediately.

Could you pls explain A “blackjack” is when a player is dealt an initial 2-card hand that produces a 21 as a result of a ten-value card (i.e. a 10, king, queen or jack) combined with an Ace

It would be great if you could put this text in a layman’s language

Anyone know where I can find usage and demographics for online gambling?

Mark asked:

I’m seeking:
* Usage globally and by country - United States, UK, Mexico, Spain, other Spanish-speaking countries and/or G8
* Popularity and spending for each game (poker, blackjack, etc)
* Usage by ethnic background (Hispanic information especially)
* Language preference and/or availability (especially Spanish)

Unfortunately, I don’t have money for an expensive market research report so thanks in advance for thoughtful replies!
